Today, I am featuring a new children's book, Savannah's Castle, by first time author, Martha Hite.

Thank you for featuring me on your website.
I always feel uncomfortable doing things like this and never know what to write. That’s very strange for me since I usually have no problem getting my thoughts down on paper. I guess it’s an odd form of writer’s block. I’m glad it only affects me with this kind of writing and not in the middle of a manuscript.
When I was a child, reading was how I escaped from my home life. The first book I ever read by myself was, “Green Eggs and Ham”.
I had a literature class not so long ago where we studied different poets. I’m certainly no expert, but I think Dr. Seuss should rank right up there. My professor told me there was no way Dr. Seuss could be compared to a serious poet. I’m sorry, but I don’t agree.
Writing for children is difficult. To write something that sticks in someone’s mind for, I’m not going to say how old I am, let’s just say I’m getting up there, is remarkable. I know there are other adults out there who can repeat the last two lines of that book.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to touch someone like that with your writing?
My new book is "Savannah's Castle". The story centers around a young girl who is given a tiny crystal castle that she has been admiring for months.
Savannah is shocked when she learns the story of the trapped princess is true. She decides she has no other choice, but to break the castle and free the princess.
"Savannah's Castle" is my attempt to touch your life with my writing.
